F-Secure AntiVirus and Spyware Protection (Security Suite).

With the default installation of F-Secure Security Suite, your system is well protected against threats from the internet. There might be times when you want to override these default settings. Lets do an example of this. What we want to achieve in this example, is for the Real Time Anti Virus scanner, to scan for viruses hidden within compressed files and we want all viruses found on the system to be disinfected automatically. Lets start.

Open the F-Secure Internet Security Suite application. On the "Home" tab, where it says "Virus & Spy Protection" click "Change...". You are presented with the "Virus & Spy Protection Level" dialog box as seen below.

On the drop down box, where it says "Normal" select "Custom" and click "OK". Now click on the "Virus & Spy Protection" tab and where it says "Real-time Scanning" click "Configure..." as seen below.

The "Real Time" dialog box is presented as seen below. Where is says "Scanning options" click the "Scan inside compressed files" check box and click "OK". Where it says "Actions" on the drop down box select "Disinfect automatically". Click "OK".

Remember the default settings for the F-Secure Security Suite offers great protection. Customising the settings should only be undertaking by advanced users.
