F-Secure Internet Security Suite - Firewall Rules.

In this example we are going to create a rule that is going to "deny" access to a complete domain on the internet. We are also want to be informed if an attempt to that domain is made. But in this example we are going to create a rule which is going to contradict the previous application control we created. In other words, the Application Control which we allowed internet access to (OutLook Express) we are going to create a more restrictive rule which will "Deny" access to OutLook Express(if using Hotmail) and any other service that utilizes that domain.

Lets begin.

Open F-Secure Security Suite and click on the Internet Shield Tab as seen below.

F-Secure internet robust secure firewall. block inbound and outbound packets. Firewall, application control, intrusion prevention. applications are allowed or denied according to rules set by the user. The firewall warns you and logs any attempt if set to do so.

Now where it says "Firewall" click on the "Configure..." text to open the Firewall dialog box as seen below.

Select a service for this rule. For this example we are going to select "All IP Traffic". Now what we also need to do here is make sure we have a direction (incoming, outgoing or both) for this rule. You see the little "? " mark in the image below, click on it until you see a green arrow pointing in both directions.
