To configure Windows Update follow these easy steps:

Open the Control Panel. Start, Control Panel.
Double click the Windows Update icon.
On the left hand menu, click change settings.
Ensure, Install updates automatically (recommended) is selected. Under, Install new updates, select Every day from the dropdown list and select a time when you know you ill be online.

Click OK, Click Continue for UAC.
